Jo is an accomplished specialist painter having trained from Kevin McCloud’s early techniques, and then developing a few new ones of her own. Skills include: oil glazed wall finishes, distressed furniture painting, wood graining, linen effect, marbling, faux leather, faux suede, handpainted wallpapers, gold and silver leafing, waxed plaster and pearlised finish.

Many of these effects work well in today’s sleek, minimal interiors and are a far cry from the brash rag-rolling and stencilling of the eighties.

Especially popular today is the feature wall using one or several of the above effects to create a stunning backdrop to a bedroom or living room.
